How DNF prepares its guides
Who is responsible for DNF guides, how sources and dates are presented, and how to report a correction to our editorial team.
DNF is responsible for the guides on this site. DNF is operated by Magnitude Marketing & Design. Our articles help people prepare questions, compare options and understand the information a damaged-vehicle listing can supply.
What our guides can establish
We distinguish the vehicle's recorded brand, the seller's account and evidence from an assessment. None substitutes for the others. A registration guide is scoped to its named province or state. A market-neutral worksheet supplies a method; it does not decide local eligibility, legal requirements or a particular vehicle's condition.
Sources appear beside material claims where possible and in the source list. We prefer legislation, registry instructions, manufacturer procedures and other primary material. A general source does not establish a vehicle-specific conclusion. Follow the linked authority for the current requirement and ask the appropriate professional about your own case.
Who prepares and reviews the content
DNF uses editorial tools, including AI, to help research and prepare content. DNF remains responsible for publication and corrections. Publication approval is not a claim that a lawyer, mechanic, engineer or other specialist has reviewed a page. Where a specialist review has taken place, the page should identify that person, their relevant role, the review date and its scope. We do not invent author credentials or imply first-hand inspection.
What the dates mean
Updated means the content was edited. It does not mean every linked source was checked again on that date.
Source check appears only when a particular check and its date are recorded. The adjacent scope says what was checked. It is not a certification of the entire article, every rule, or an individual vehicle. If no source check appears, we make no dated re-verification claim.
Examples, illustrations and calculations
Original diagrams are labelled as illustrations. They do not show actual vehicle damage or a completed inspection. Worksheets begin blank, keep unknown inputs visible and state their formulas. Example arithmetic is not a valuation, a prediction of a sale, or evidence of an owner's results.
Creator stories and published accounts can suggest useful questions. We do not infer unseen scenes, repair quality, time, cost or outcomes from a title, description or edited clip.
Corrections
If a guide is unclear or contradicts a current source, contact DNF with the page address, the relevant passage and the source. Do not send private identity, payment or vehicle documents with a public correction request. We review the claim and correct affected text and links; changing an article does not rewrite a seller's listing or registration record.
